At approximately 8:50 AM, St. Johnsbury Police responded to a report of a person threatening at the Welcome Center. According to a maintenance worker, a person in a wheelchair was making threats near the back road. Initial reports indicate the individual had been issued a trespass notice for the building earlier this month and allegedly violated it on July 12. Officers reported that the individual was last seen on Railroad Street, away from the Welcome Center.

At approximately 8:53 AM, officers located an individual on the north side of the Welcome Center parking lot. The individual was asked to move further from the building and to have no interaction with maintenance staff. Further details are pending.
