Passumpsic River gauge reaches action stage

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the Passumpsic River at Passumpsic crossed into action stage on its river gauge. The reading reached 8.13 feet, the threshold that may indicate developing flood conditions.

The automated alert from USGS site 01135500 noted the stage transition from normal to action. The National Weather Service may issue a formal flood advisory if river levels continue to rise.
