Two North Country airports are set to receive more than $4 million in federal funding, part of a $63 million statewide package announced Tuesday by U.S. Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.

The regional money will go toward runway reconstruction at the airport in Ticonderoga and several upgrades at the Malone-Dufort Airport, including road repairs and safety enhancements.

No timeline for the work has been released.
