Newport man dies after Derby crash

Vermont State Police have confirmed that a Newport man has died from injuries suffered in a crash in Derby last month.

Aiden Lamoureux, 20, was the driver of a car that went off Salem Derby Road near the intersection with Vermont Route 105/5A on May 20. The vehicle rolled over into a field after crossing the road. Lamoureux was taken to UVM Medical Center where he later died, police said Saturday.

A passenger in the vehicle also sustained serious injuries in the crash, police reported. The incident remains under investigation.
