Newport Ambulance and police were dispatched at approximately 10:44 AM on Tuesday to a residence in Newport City following a 911 call from a female identified as Joan. According to initial reports, the caller was moaning in pain and unable to communicate verbally. Emergency crews were already in the area and able to respond quickly. Units advised they were turning around to check on her and would provide an update. Further details are pending.
