At approximately 8:47 PM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 338 Highland Avenue in Newport City for a 75-year-old female experiencing an asthma attack. Initial reports indicate the woman was wheezing and choking up phlegm. Dispatch received a callback from 911 at 8:49 PM reporting that her breathing was becoming more difficult. At 8:55 PM, emergency crews arrived on scene. At approximately 9:25 PM, Newport 9 was en route to North Country Hospital with the patient. At 9:33 PM, the unit reported arrival at North Country.
