NEK-TV Public Access Television has moved to new channel numbers on Comcast cable. The channels previously found at 15 and 17 are now located at 1078 and 1088.
“As Comcast expands their technological capabilities across the board, part of that requires that we move to the new 4 digit channel numbers on your cable guide,” said Tod Pronto, Executive Director of NEK-TV.
Pronto noted that while high-definition broadcasting is not yet available, the change is a step toward that goal. In the coming days, NEK-TV programming will also appear in the electronic program guide with individual show listings instead of a generic “Local Programming” label.
“We are excited about this move forward and will continue to strive to provide the best local content possible,” Pronto said.
