Fred's Energy collected toys at its three Vermont offices this holiday season for local toy drives, the company announced. The fuel and propane supplier offered a chance to win 100 gallons of propane or oil, plus a gift tower, for each toy donated at its Derby, Morrisville, and Lyndonville locations.

Toys from the Derby office went to the NEKCA & Northpoint 'Toys for Kids' drive. Morrisville donations supported the Lamoille Family Center's 'Holiday Project,' and Lyndonville donations went to the St. Johnsbury Fire Department's 'Kingdom Santa Fund.'

'This time of year can be a struggle for many, yet numerous local families were helped because of your incredible thoughtfulness,' Fred's Energy said in a statement. 'Your toy donations brought such JOY to so many children and brightened everyone's holiday.'

Three winners were drawn. Donald Raboin, whose name was selected by St. Johnsbury Fire Department's Ryan Pelow at the Lyndonville office, gifted the fuel to a parent. Sarah Denis, picked by Wendy Chauvin at the Morrisville office, donated her prize back to the Lamoille Family Center. Michaela Fields won at the Derby office; her name was drawn by Northpoint's Rachel Twofoot when she and NEKCA's Mary Hamel collected the toys.
