Edward "Ned" Densmore, founder of the Village Bookstore in Littleton and a former member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, died July 9, 2026, in Franconia, N.H. He was 85.

Densmore was born Nov. 16, 1940, in Belmont, Mass., and later moved to Franconia, where he established the Village Bookstore, a longtime fixture in downtown Littleton. He also served in the New Hampshire House, representing the area.
