This is a follow-up to NEK's earlier report (Medical Call on Moats River Drive in St. Johnsbury, July 8). New details below.

This is a developing story. Details are preliminary and subject to change as more information becomes available.

NEK previously reported that Vermont State Police were responding to a mental health crisis on Chamberlain Hill Road in Albany involving a 34-year-old man. New details have since emerged: At approximately 4:26 PM, police staged EMS at the opposite end of Crossroad. A caller reported that a person had been sedated and had taken all his vests. A mother is on scene in a car. By 4:31 PM, responders reported that power lines were spread across the crossroad. All responders staged at the ends of the road, and EMS indicated they were not comfortable approaching due to statements made by the individual. EMS said they would be willing to transport him if he came down to meet them. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
