NEK previously reported that a woman reported a former friend banging on her door and possibly armed. New details have since emerged: according to initial reports, the man was still pounding on the door as of approximately 6:06 AM. Police were on scene and attempting to communicate with him. One officer noted that the man communicated with his sister through the situation. At approximately 6:11 AM, the suspect was seen getting into a light blue SUV and leaving the area at a high rate of speed, heading south on Route 5. Officers pursued the vehicle. At approximately 6:18 AM, officers located the suspect on Lake Morin Road in St. Johnsbury. The suspect, described as a man wearing a black hoodie, was found in a light blue RAV4. Officers reported that the subject was taken into custody. The incident remains under investigation.
