Medical Evaluation Requested at Groton Fire Department

At approximately 4:30 PM on July 17, 2026, Twin State dispatch requested Groton Rescue and Woodsville Ambulance backup to 1456 Scott Highway in Groton, Vermont, for a medical evaluation of a female at the Groton Fire Department. The request came from Vermont State Police. Crews are responding. Details on the nature of the emergency are limited at this time.

Vermont State Police reported that the female may be a victim of assault or a possible hostage situation. Additional ambulance backup was requested at 4:36 PM.
