At approximately 8:34 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to Wyldham and Music Road in Bath for a reported assault. According to initial reports, two men were involved in an altercation, and one man was struck with either a log or a large stick. The victim was reported to be on the ground bleeding. A passerby on scene was attempting to calm the situation. New Hampshire State Police were also notified and asked if they could assist, as their units were coming from Franklin. The victim provided a name of a possible assailant to the caller, though that name has not been confirmed by police. An ambulance was dispatched from Station 112, and responders awaited clearance to approach the scene. The extent of the victim's injuries is unknown at this time.
At 9:13 PM, responders reported that both parties were separated and the situation was under control, with no further action required.
