At approximately 8:40 AM, Groton Ambulance was dispatched to 49 Southside Avenue in Groton for a medical emergency. According to initial dispatch, a 49-year-old woman was conscious, breathing, and alert, reporting stomach pain and vomiting. First responders were en route to provide aid. At 8:49 AM, additional response was sent to the scene. Officers on scene reported a patient experiencing pain rated 10 out of 10, which had persisted for the past four hours. Further details have not yet been released.
