Medical Emergency on I-91 Northbound in Newport

At 11:37 AM, emergency crews were dispatched to Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 167.6 for a report of a male driver who had passed out at the wheel, according to dispatch reports. Newport Ambulance and Newport Police responded. At 11:47 AM, multiple units confirmed they were on scene. The patient was conscious and alert. By 12:05 PM, the patient's vehicle was removed from the highway and the scene was cleared, according to first responders.
