A Quincy, Massachusetts woman was arrested July 15 after Vermont State Police say she was driving a stolen vehicle on VT Route 105 in Newport Center.
According to police, a trooper initiated a traffic stop around 9:15 a.m. for a motor vehicle violation and later learned the vehicle had been reported stolen in Norwood, Massachusetts the previous day. The operator allegedly knew the vehicle was stolen and gave false information to officers, refusing to identify herself correctly.
After being taken into custody, she was identified as Taylor Giordani, 27. She was lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail and cited to appear in Orleans County Superior Court on July 16 at 12:30 p.m.
Giordani faces charges of possession of stolen property and false reports to law enforcement.
