State police in Gowanda, New York, arrested a local man on lewdness charges after he allegedly exposed himself to two teenagers on June 20.

Benjamin M. Cole, 32, faces one count of first-degree public lewdness and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to a police statement.

Troopers responded to a reported fight on South Water Street at 8:36 p.m. that evening. They determined that two young teens were walking on Buffalo Street when a male approached with his genitals exposed. The teens reported the incident to adults, leading to a confrontation.

Cole was located and arrested. He was processed at SP Collins and issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Collins Court on July 9, 2026.
