Lyndon Institute's bid for a Vermont Division II state baseball title ended with a 5-3 loss to top-seeded Mt. Abraham on June 13 at Centennial Field in Burlington.
Connor Wood gave the Vikings an early lead with a two-run single in the second inning. But Mt. Abraham answered with a crooked number in the fourth frame, scoring multiple runs to take control. Lyndon, the No. 2 seed, could not recover.
The game marked the final contest of the season for Lyndon Institute, which finished as runner-up in the division.
