Lyndon Institute's baseball team came up short in the Vermont Division II state championship game on Saturday, June 13, falling 5-3 to top-seeded Mt. Abraham at Centennial Field in Burlington.

Connor Wood provided an early spark for the second-seeded Vikings, but the Eagles rallied in the fourth inning to seize control. Lyndon pinch runner David Mitchell was caught in a rundown at second, and the Vikings could not recover.

The loss ended Lyndon's bid for a state title after a strong postseason run.
