The Northeast Kingdom All-Stars are the 2026 Vermont State 14-U Babe Ruth champions after a 7-4 victory over host Essex on Sunday.
Team NEK entered the tournament undefeated in postseason play. They beat Brattleboro 6-4 in an earlier round, then defeated Central Vermont 10-0 and Essex 12-4 last Friday.
Essex advanced through the losers' bracket to earn a rematch. Sunday's game was closer than the first meeting, but the Kingdom All-Stars held on to win the title and earn a spot in the regional tournament.
NEK will be looking into the regional tournament schedule and how to follow the team's postseason run.
