The NEK Elite Varsity AAU girls basketball team wrapped up their season this past weekend with a perfect showing at the Basketball Bull Tournament in Springfield, Massachusetts, hosted by the Basketball Hall of Fame. Coached by Chad Patten and Doug Niles, the team went 4-0 in the tournament to finish their AAU campaign with a record of 25-1.

“We had a great weekend,” Patten said. “We went 4-0 and won Championship game by 20.”

The team’s sole loss came against a Maine Premier team during a seeding round earlier in the season. The Elite girls later avenged that defeat by beating the same team in a championship game about a month ago. “It was our only loss. Girls played great together,” Patten added.

Several players from the NEK Elite team are expected to continue playing this summer with the Blue Print team.
