On June 2, Lamoille County Sheriff's Department deputies were notified by Copley Hospital that Arthur Smith of Cabot was being medically cleared and had active warrants for failure to appear. Troopers arrested Smith at the hospital without incident and transported him to Lamoille County Superior Court to face the charges.

On June 5, Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 2 in Cabot. The driver, Sanjv Rimal, showed signs of impairment and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. He was taken to the Berlin Barracks for processing and later released with a citation.

That same evening, troopers responded to a collision involving a car and a horse on Vermont Route 5A (Willoughby Lake Road) in Brownington. Dean Burns of Woodbury was driving south when his vehicle struck a horse standing on or near the roadway. Burns and his passenger were not injured. The vehicle sustained major front-end damage. The horse was fatally injured and euthanized. The horse's owners said the animals had broken out of their fence. Other horses were contained and returned to their property. Ray's Towing removed the vehicle.
