Three Hazen Union School students took top honors in the annual Vermont Covered Bridge Society Student Art Contest. Ella Renaud won first place and $100 for her painting of Bowers Covered Bridge in West Windsor. Danica Patridge placed second and received $75 for Middle Covered Bridge in Woodstock. Karli Patridge won third place and $50 for Baltimore Covered Bridge in Springfield.
The contest, sponsored by the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, encourages student artwork highlighting Vermont's historic covered bridges. All three students received certificates, and their work is featured on the society's website, vermontbridges.org.
