Groton man faces second-offense DUI charge after Danville traffic stop

On June 26 at about 7:47 p.m., Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 2 in Danville after observing multiple motor vehicle violations. The driver was identified as Jordan Rood, 30, of Groton.

During the stop, troopers determined that Rood was operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to police. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing. He was later released on a citation to appear in court.

Rood is charged with driving under the influence, second offense. He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County criminal court on July 13 at 8:30 a.m. Court dates are subject to change.
