At approximately 4:50 AM on Saturday, emergency services were dispatched to 573 Citizens Road in Derby for a life alert activation. A 93-year-old female had fallen and hit her head, with minor bleeding. A caregiver was on scene. Newport Ambulance and Newport Police responded. Police arrived on scene at approximately 5:05 AM. The patient was transported to North Country Hospital under emergency conditions, arriving at approximately 5:10 AM. The incident remains under investigation.
