At approximately 4:06 PM, Newport Ambulance and Newport Police were dispatched to 524 Sunset Acres in Derby for an 82-year-old female experiencing slurred speech, dizziness, and weakness. According to first responders, the woman is exhibiting stroke-like symptoms. Units arrived on scene at 4:14 PM and provided medical assessment. Shortly after, at 4:36 PM, crews cleared the scene after transporting the patient to a local hospital. Further details are pending as the situation develops.
