At approximately 11:20 AM, Newport Ambulance and Newport Police were dispatched to 587 Darling Hill Road in Derby for a medical emergency. According to dispatch, an 82-year-old female reported that she has not been feeling well for a while and is experiencing a headache and numbness in both of her arms. Multiple units, including Newport Fire, were responding to the scene. As of 11:28 AM, units confirmed they had arrived on scene. The nature of the medical condition is not yet confirmed; however, the symptoms described may indicate a possible stroke.
At approximately 11:54 AM, crews transported one patient to North Country Hospital. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
