At approximately 2:23 PM, St. Johnsbury Police were dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a knife. According to initial reports, a woman called for help, stating that a male was at her residence and had displayed a knife. Dispatchers relayed that at one point the female was hiding in the house and the male was armed. Units from St. Johnsbury Police responded, with additional units requested from surrounding areas.
At approximately 2:35 PM, dispatchers reported that two females had walked out of the residence and were speaking with the male. The situation appeared to be calm, but all parties remained on scene. Police continued to monitor the situation.
By 3:06 PM, units reported clearing the scene and returning to service. St. Johnsbury Police indicated the situation had been resolved without further incident.
