Danville man cited for domestic assault

Vermont State Police arrested a Danville man on a domestic assault charge June 1 after responding to a reported altercation on Bruce Badger Memorial Highway.

Troopers said Joshua Davignon, 20, caused pain to a family or household member during the incident, which was reported around 9:44 a.m. Davignon was taken into custody and brought to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing. He was later released on a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on June 2 at 12:30 p.m.

State police did not identify the victim, as is standard practice in domestic violence cases.
