One of Vermont's most scenic races is returning to Orleans County this spring with both in-person and virtual options. Kingdom Games will host the Dandelion Run starting May 22, featuring a traditional half-marathon through the dandelion-covered dirt roads of Morgan, Holland, and Derby.

Shorter distances include a 10K, 4-mile, 2-mile, and 1-mile route. Organizers are limiting in-person participation to 100 runners, with staggered starts to allow for social distancing. Vaccination is encouraged but not required.

The race, nicknamed "The Dandy," was named one of Vermont's best events by Yankee Magazine in 2011. It is held in memory of Terri Weed, a 15-year-old killed by domestic violence on May 21, 1981. Proceeds go to Umbrella, an organization supporting domestic violence victims.
