Crash on I-91 in Derby Cleared, No Injuries

At approximately 8:34 AM, Newport Ambulance and fire crews were dispatched to a crash on Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 170, between the exit ramps for exit 27 in Derby. The vehicle had significant front-end damage and a male occupant was sitting outside the vehicle.

Upon arrival, Newport 9 reported no transport was needed and no patient was with the vehicle. Units cleared the scene at 8:44 AM. Separately, police received a report of a male walking on the interstate; police urged drivers to use caution.
