Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Creek Road in Craftsbury on the evening of June 26. The operator, Natasha Bali, 31, of Greensboro Bend, was driving south when she failed to negotiate a corner on loose gravel at a speed troopers deemed unreasonable for conditions, according to a police news release.
Bali's 2003 Ford Ranger left the east side of the road, overturned, and came to rest in a hay field. She was not wearing a seatbelt but was uninjured. Hardwick Rescue, Craftsbury Fire, and Grenier's Towing assisted at the scene. The vehicle was totaled and removed after a brief traffic delay.
Police issued Bali a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for violating 23 VSA 1081(a), which prohibits driving at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions.
