The Cabot Fire Department hosted joint training with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART) on June 25, focusing on integrating air ambulance services into emergency response. The session covered procedures for establishing a landing zone and effectively utilizing DHART’s resources.
“Every minute matters and the ability to airlift patients directly to a trauma center will frequently improve outcomes,” Cabot Fire police said in a Facebook post.
DHART has been operating in the region for 30 years, transporting patients to appropriate medical facilities and responding to evacuations. The training also included participants from the Marshfield, Walden and Peacham Fire Departments, as well as Cabot Emergency Ambulance Service.
