Brownington man cited for DUI drugs after traffic stop

Vermont State Police arrested Owen Mead, 21, of Charleston, on May 20 after a traffic stop in Brownington.

Troopers said they observed a traffic violation on Ticehurst Road and stopped the vehicle. During the stop, officers detected signs of impairment and arrested Mead on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

Mead was taken to the Derby barracks for processing and later released on a citation. He is scheduled to appear in Orleans Superior Court on August 11.
