Barton residents Deanne and Bert Gallison have filed an appeal of a zoning permit issued to their neighbors, John and Olivia Alford, to construct a yurt on the Alfords' property. The appeal has been submitted to the town's development review board.
The Gallisons had previously brought their concerns to the Barton Selectboard on multiple occasions before deciding to pursue the formal appeal. The permit in question was recently amended by Town Zoning Administrator Sarah Bailey.
The development review board will now hear the case and issue a decision on the Gallisons' appeal.
