Emergency crews responded to the Weidmann Electrical Technology plant on Memorial Drive on Friday morning, June 19, after receiving a report of a bomb threat. Vermont State Police investigated and determined the threat was not credible, local police said.
Firefighters and an ambulance crew remained on standby at the scene for about two hours while officers conducted their investigation. No evacuation of the facility was reported, and operations appeared to continue normally.
This is the latest in a series of bomb threats at the Weidmann plant in recent months, all of which have been false alarms. The company and law enforcement have not disclosed any suspects or motive.
