NEWPORT, A 29-year-old Lowell man has pleaded not guilty to a felony domestic assault charge after state police say he deliberately ran over another man with a tractor.
According to Vermont State Police, officers responded to a call on May 27 from a woman who said Adam Richardson had run over her husband. Troopers found the victim inside a house being treated by emergency medical workers for bleeding cuts on his head. The woman told police she heard her husband screaming and went outside to see Richardson standing over him next to an overturned side-by-side vehicle.
Trooper Anthony Rice, Sergeant Nathan Handy, and Trooper Richard Berlandy investigated the incident in Lowell. Richardson denied the allegations in court. The case is pending further proceedings.
