At 10:12 AM, emergency responders were dispatched to 2528 Dane Hill Road in Charleston for an 88-year-old female who had fallen and hit her head. Morgan Rescue and additional units responded. According to dispatch updates, the patient suffered severe tearing of the skin on her face. The patient has dementia and was reportedly combative with caregivers trying to assist. At 10:27 AM, dispatchers received an update that the patient appeared very pale and that the line disconnected, with callers not answering follow-up calls. Units arrived on scene shortly thereafter. The extent of other injuries is unknown at this time.
