At 8:59 PM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 299 Highland Avenue for an 82-year-old woman who fell down the stairs. Dispatchers reported the woman was conscious and alert but bleeding from the head. At 9:00 PM, additional units were advised of the same situation. Emergency responders were en route to the scene. Further details are not yet available.
