At approximately 5:04 PM, St. Johnsbury Police were dispatched to Main Street following reports of a woman driving erratically and aiming her vehicle at pedestrians. According to initial reports, the caller reported that the woman was 'working at people and then trying to hit them.' Officers responded to the scene and observed the vehicle driving up and down the road. At approximately 5:20 PM, police reported taking the female subject into custody under a mental health order. At 5:45 PM, a mental health worker arrived at the police station lobby and requested to meet with the subject. Further details are limited at this time.
