GREENSBORO, A shuttered farmstand has been revived as Wilson Farm Market at 2747 Hardwick Street. Brenden and Lindsay Beer, who leased the former Hazendale Farm since 2018, have purchased the property with help from the Vermont Land Trust Farmland Access Program. The store sells organic herbs and herbal products from the Beers’ own farm, along with vegetables, meats, cheese, and other items sourced from regional producers.
The market opened earlier this month with online shopping and now allows three customers inside at a time with masks required. Operating hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lindsay Beer said the business will continue to offer online ordering and curbside pickup throughout the season.
“When we started planning opening up a farm market a year ago, this is not how we originally envisioned it going,” Lindsay said. “But, we feel that now more than ever, it is important to be buying food locally and supporting our farmers and producers in the area.”
Brenden Beer added: “We want to provide access to fresh, organic, and sustainably grown food. Our priority is to source from regional farms and producers to create a hub of commerce for local businesses.”
Lindsay grew up in Craftsbury and her ancestry, the Wilsons, settled there more than eight generations ago; the farm is named Wilson Herb Farm in her honor.
