At approximately 7:11 PM, St. Johnsbury Police received a report of a verbal dispute escalating at a homeless encampment on the rail trail south of Green Mountain Yard, near River Road. A resident reported a female involved in a verbal dispute that had been escalating all evening.
By 7:20 PM, a responding officer reported that a female appeared to have been in a physical altercation but would not provide details about the other individual or what happened. The officer also noted a prior incident from the previous day that may be related. The investigation is ongoing.
