Tree hanging over wires on Route 2

At approximately 5:22 AM, emergency responders were dispatched to Route 2 for a report of a tree hanging over wires. Upon arrival, crews found a hot wire on the ground. At 5:29 AM, dispatchers asked for a unit to block off Route 2 on the eastern side. As of 5:55 AM, one lane or both lanes are closed. Green Mountain Power has been notified. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
