Transformer Incident on Route 302 in Lisbon Cleared as Unfounded

Emergency crews responded to a transformer fire at the intersection of Route 302 and Walker Hill Road in Lisbon beginning at approximately 9:41 PM. The Western Fire Department was dispatched, and additional units from Twin State mutual aid were toned out. At 9:48 PM, a second tone was issued, and Lisbon Engine 1 responded. At 9:56 PM, Lisbon Engine 1 signed off from the scene. However, at 10:08 PM, Lisbon Engine 1 reported that they had checked the transformers around the intersection and found no fire. The incident was cleared as unfounded, and Engine 1 returned to quarters. No injuries have been reported.
