At approximately 6:25 AM, emergency crews were dispatched to a tractor-trailer fire on I-93 northbound at mile marker 113 near exit 36 in Franconia. Initial reports indicate that the engine of the truck was on fire. Franconia Engine 1 responded, and mutual aid was requested from Littleton Fire Department, including an engine and Ladder 48. By 6:40 AM, crews reported the vehicle was well involved and command was established. Littleton Engine 1 responded but was advised to return after the bulk of the fire was knocked down at approximately 6:51 AM. As of 7:00 AM, command remained active at the scene. State police inquired about the condition of the truck's tires. At 7:40 AM, Franconia Engine 1 reported that units were clearing the scene and returning to quarters, indicating the fire was fully extinguished. No injuries were immediately reported.
