Teen driver crashes into tree, vehicle catches fire in Vershire

Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on VT Route 113 in Vershire the morning of July 5, 2026. The crash was reported at approximately 6:17 a.m.

According to police, a 2014 Subaru Impreza operated by a juvenile driver left the roadway after the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle. The car struck a tree and became engulfed in flames. Fire crews from West Fairlee and Vershire fire departments extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported. The road was closed for about an hour while crews cleared the scene. Upper Valley Ambulance also assisted.
