At 5:17 PM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 72 Spring Street, Apartment 2 in Newport City for a 42-year-old male feeling suicidal. The individual reportedly had a plan to jump from the balcony but was talked down and was waiting outside with emergency medical services. Units including Newport 10 and E4-10 were responding by 5:21 PM. Additionally, unit C4-10 was also responding at 5:21 PM. At 5:44 PM, Newport-10 police reported they were in a room with an individual. At 5:48 PM, C4-10 arrived at North Country Hospital. At 5:56 PM, Newport 10 cleared back into service.
