At 5:27 PM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to the Newport Police Department lobby at 222 Main Street for a male who was reportedly punched in the face. The victim was experiencing dizziness, numbness, and vision changes, according to dispatch communications. A unit was en route by 5:29 PM and arrived on scene at 5:33 PM. The victim sought evaluation at the police lobby. At 6:34 PM, emergency personnel reported that the scene was clear and units returned to service.
