Smoke Reported in Building on Elm Street in Lancaster

At approximately 3:53 AM, the Lancaster Fire Department and Whitefield Fire Department were dispatched to 4 Elm Street, Apartment 102, for a report of smoke in the building. Units arrived on scene at 3:58 AM. Crews reported a strong smell of burning plastic, and Whitefield Fire was advised to hold in quarters. Firefighters investigated and determined the source was burnt plastic on a stove. The apartment was ventilated, and the scene was cleared by 4:22 AM. No injuries were reported.
