Possible Electric Fire at Lancaster Apartment Resolved

At 1:18 PM, Lancaster Fire Department was dispatched to 86 Main Street in Lancaster for a report of a possible electric fire. The caller reported that a burner was getting hot and could not be turned off. Crews were advised that the apartment is below ground level and can be approached from the left side of the building. Responders requested that the caller come outdoors.

At 1:34 PM, dispatch confirmed the location as 86 Main Street, Apartment 1 Delta. By 1:44 PM, crews reported they had shut off the stove and the breaker to the range, and advised the resident to contact maintenance to inspect the wiring and the breaker. At 1:50 PM, all units returned to service, and Station 8 was back in service.
